Welcome to SweetMeet.nz (“SweetMeet”, “we”, “us”, “our”).
SweetMeet is a New Zealand-based, adult-only dating platform designed to facilitate introductions and connections between consenting adults
By accessing or using SweetMeet.nz, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the service.
1. Eligibility and Acceptance of Terms
SweetMeet is available only to individuals aged 18 years or older.
By registering, you confirm that you are legally able to enter into a binding agreement under New Zealand law.
You may be required to verify your account via email, and in future via SMS or other verification methods. Failure to complete verification may result in restricted access or removal.
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of SweetMeet constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
2. Nature of the Service
SweetMeet is a dating and social introduction platform only.
We do not provide escorting, prostitution, or sexual services, and such use of the platform is strictly prohibited.
SweetMeet does not broker, arrange, supervise, or participate in meetings or arrangements between members.
All interactions, communications, and decisions are solely between members.
3. Account Registration and Security
You must provide accurate and current information when registering.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
You may not:
~ Create more than one active account
~ Share or transfer your account
~ Impersonate another person
~ Access another member’s account, with or without permission
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these requirements.
4. Paid Services, Billing, and Cancellation
SweetMeet operates on a paid membership model.
Fees, billing cycles, and subscription details are displayed at the point of purchase.
Subscriptions will renew automatically unless cancelled prior to the renewal date.
No refunds are provided for unused or cancelled subscription periods, except where required by the Consumer Guarantees Act.
Duplicate or erroneous payments may be refunded at our discretion, less any reasonable processing fees.
Memberships are non-transferable.
5. Member Conduct and Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for your behaviour on and off the platform.
You must not:
~ Harass, threaten, stalk, intimidate, or abuse other members
~ Engage in non-consensual or coercive behaviour
~ Send unsolicited or repeated messages after being blocked
~ Misrepresent your identity, intentions, or circumstances
~ Solicit or promote illegal activities
~ Use the platform for commercial advertising, recruitment, or promotion without written approval
Any conduct that breaches New Zealand law, including the Harmful Digital Communications Act 2015, is strictly prohibited.
6. Content You Publish
You are legally responsible for all content you upload or send, including profiles, messages, and images.
You must not upload or share content that is:
~ Illegal, defamatory, or obscene
~ Violent or threatening
~ Non-consensual or exploitative
~ Involving minors
~ Misleading or fraudulent
Content Licence
By uploading content, you grant SweetMeet a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, moderate, and process that content solely for the operation of the service. This licence ends when the content is deleted, except where retention is required for legal or safety reasons.
We reserve the right to remove or reclassify content without notice.
7. Verification and Authenticity
SweetMeet does not guarantee that members are who they claim to be.
We may introduce optional or mandatory verification features (including SMS or other methods).
Profiles may be labelled as verified or unverified.
False representation is grounds for immediate removal.
Members are encouraged to exercise caution and follow our safety guidelines.
8. Messaging and Communication
Messaging is provided for one-to-one communication between members.
Bulk messaging, spam, or automated messaging is prohibited.
You may not include contact details in your first message.
Attempts to bypass filters or obscure contact information may result in termination.
SweetMeet reserves the right to review or monitor communications for safety, moderation, and compliance purposes, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
9. Safety and Offline Interactions
SweetMeet does not conduct criminal background checks.
Any meetings or arrangements occur at your own risk.
We strongly encourage members to:
~ Meet in public places
~ Inform a trusted third party
~ Trust their instincts
~ Avoid sharing personal information prematurely
SweetMeet is not responsible for offline conduct between members.
10. Moderation, Enforcement, and Termination
We may, at our sole discretion:
~ Issue warnings
~ Restrict features
~ Suspend or terminate accounts
~ Remove content
This may occur without prior notice where safety, legality, or platform integrity is at risk.
Serious breaches (including impersonation, threats, or illegal activity) may result in permanent removal.
11. Data, Privacy, and Authorities
Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Privacy Act 2020.
We may disclose information to law enforcement, Netsafe, or other authorities where required by law or to protect members.
Banned users who attempt to re-access the service may be considered unauthorised users.
12. Consent, Expectations, and Personal Arrangements
Members use SweetMeet for a wide range of personal relationship outcomes, from long-term partnerships to casual connections.
SweetMeet is a platform for introductions between consenting adults who may choose to form relationships that could include mentorship, companionship, lifestyle support or gifts, or other mutually agreed personal arrangements.
SweetMeet does not define, facilitate, or enforce the terms of any personal arrangement between members. Any expectations, boundaries, or understandings — including lifestyle support, gifts, time commitments, or intimacy — are private matters agreed solely between the individuals involved.
All interactions and arrangements must be:
~ Consensual
~ Voluntary
~ Free from pressure, coercion, or obligation
~ Capable of being withdrawn at any time
No member is ever required to provide intimacy, companionship, lifestyle support, gifts, or any other benefit as a condition of communication or continued participation.
SweetMeet strictly prohibits:
~ Requests for illegal sexual services
~ Attempts to pressure or coerce another member into any activity
~ Misrepresenting intentions in order to obtain consent
~ Treating members as commodities rather than individuals
Members are responsible for clearly communicating their boundaries and respecting the boundaries set by others. Failure to do so may result in suspension or permanent removal from the platform.
SweetMeet is not a party to, and assumes no responsibility for, any arrangement, agreement, or interaction between members, whether online or offline.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
~ SweetMeet shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data, reputation, income, or opportunity.
~ We are not responsible for the conduct, statements, or actions of members or third parties.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

Support is provided via our online contact form. We do not offer phone support.
